Directed by Joe Dante
When flesh-eating piranhas are accidentally released into a summer resort's
rivers, the guests become their next meal. Joe Dante's wicked sense of
humor has rarely been better put to use than in this Roger Corman-produced film
which, after 20 (!) years, holds up surprisingly well. "Piranha"
is definitely the BEST of all the "Jaws" rip-offs. All fans of
Barbara Steele should buy the DVD, for her out-takes alone.
